With our friends at A Hoppy Place celebrating their 5th anniversary this year and their burgeoning Indie Rabble brewery making waves in the UK beer scene, a celebratory IPA seemed in order. Still Spinning represents our mutual love of punchy, hop-forward beers that are saturated with flavour, but still captivates with moreish, resinous bitterness.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear burnished gold beer, ephemeral pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The pale malts feel old skool, a fairly rich flavour without the pronounced creamy sweetness you get on the vast majority of modern hop beers. West Coast like hoppage - a light pine into fairly bright citrus peel and marmalade, mildly juicy. A light and semi dry finish. Hmmm. A noble beast this one. Classical and timeless and rather pleasing to sup

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the Siren online shop. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white topping. Light-medium sweet flavour, nice West Coast IPA style, notes of sun-kissed malts, semi-ripe citrus, oily pine, modest bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light piney resin in the finish, supportive malts, more citrus rind. Solid.
