Can 44 cl. Poursan opaque black with a small, beige head. Faint roast aroma with a hint of chocolate. Solid if not overly potent body. Roasty, raisiny, some molasses - flavors unfold slowly. No real bitterness. No biggie, but nice enough. 290925

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty, chocolately, minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate, toasted oats. Taste is mildly roasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty, minimally toasty, grainy, subtle sweetness, hints of chocolate, toasted oats, tart-ish undertones.
Creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation.
Rather simple and monotonous, nice, creamy mouthfeel - OK.

Can from Bierkiste. Darkest brown, brown creamy head. Bitterhop and roasted aroma. Medium body, foamy mouthfeel. Fruity entry, rosehip, light roasted fruity coffee, light spice, licorice, light chewy caramel, broad hop counterpoint, citric, grass, gooseberry, solid bitter finish, crushable, feels like a imperial Schwarzbier to me.

Can from Bierkiste, Munich. Had this at home Monday 30th December 2024, shared with Baz. We had a Raclette meal tonight prepared by Loz and Isobel. Listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music. Pours shark eye black with a mid sized light beige head. Roasty malts with chocolate and coffee on the nose. Similar in the mouth, mild roasty bitterness, smooth, creamy. A very good imperial stout.

Black. Aroma is chocolate oatmeal light syrup and a bit of melasses. taste is light sweet oatmeal with sour fresh coffee and a whiff of bitter cocoa. Quite minerally. Somehow balanced with the oatmeal and chocolate. Alright!
