Bottle at Pre-GBBF Shindig 2015. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, grainy, bitter -sweet, dough, cereal and light wood. The taste is soft, toasted grain, grassy, icing sugar, dough, wood and a touch of spice with a dry, grassy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit more alcoholic than I would expect for this sort of thing. A touch wishy-washy, but not all bad.

Very light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Airy pale malts, some sweetness. Mild orange and a trace of spice. Dry finish. It’s clean but a tad dry and a bit dull.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color Kolsch with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of clean crisp cereal notes with light butter notes. Taste is also dominated by crisp cereal notes with light buttery notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well done for style with limited buttery notes and refreshing taste overall.

Draught Small white rim, cloudy yellow beer. Dry, noble, but discreet hops. Seems to get a touch of coriander. Hops seem more UK in the nose, with excellent pale malts, and a touch of sulphur. Bit yeasty too. Finish is a tad astringent, and bready. Light to medium bodied, gristslickness. Decent blonde. I’m really curious about the hops used.

Capped 750 from South Bay Drugs. Pours gold with a foamy 4 finger white head. It’s mildly malty with some fruitiness. Med body. Flavor starts pale malt, but quickly develops a little fruit, and the hop seems noble. Better than your average kolsch.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed golden body and a small white head. Aromas of bread, fruit esters, grassy, grainy and bread. Flavors are bready, grass, hay, raw grain, and orange. Kind of flabby, maybe a bit more attenuation would help. Lively bubbles with a light spice note.
