Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch black with a brown head that lingers, then dissipates. The nose on this is really reminiscent of Even More Jesus; truffles, cacao nib & chocolate cookies. Big chewy body with lots of fudge on the palate. Full flavored and rich with good balance between sweet chocolate and vanilla and dark roasted cacao nib and coffee. Lingering roasty finish with cacao nibs, coffee and a hint of chili.

1 pint can. Pours black in colour with a brown foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of brown sugar, roasty malt, molasses, caramel, whisky, coffee. Taste is dark malt, whisky, molasses, woody, oak, chocolate and coffee, vanilla with roasted earthy bitterness. Smooth, full bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish with alittle lingering chilli heat. Nicely drinkable.

On tap at Express Lyon Paris. Black beer lasting tan head. Big impy stout aroma. Lots of flavours going on here. Cocoa nibs. Vanilla. Chocolate. Coffee. Some almost liquorice flavour. Something herby. I mean it's big. No burn though. Quite bitter on finish. Lovely to have it on tap so opens up a bit. Good mouthfeel. Pretty good. I mean it doesn't skimp on flavour. Some baked raisin flavour. Wow. I liked it. A lot. Just a bit too herby/chilli for me maybe

When it comes to both your Romo and flavor here the qualities are mainly roasty and sweet with only hints of vanilla and the Chili Peppers. It is very smooth and balanced though and super easy drinking. Great body and easy finish no off qualities at all. No sign of the strength whatsoever.

473ml can from Mikkeller Beer Club. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, cocoa and spices. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some dark chocolate, coffee, spices, hints of chili, cocoa and vanilla. Finish is roasty and chocolatey with some coffee, vanilla, cocoa, hints of warming chili and spices. Quite tasty and balanced, feels a lot like the regular version, maybe a bit smoother.

Can (from debierliefhebber.nl). Pours black with brwonish head. Aroma is canned jalapenos, roast, malt, chocolate. Flavor is sweet, sour, and bitter, vanilla, roast, malt, chocolate, cocoa, some canned jalapenos. Palate is very smooth and drinkability is excellent. Finish is vanilla sweet, roast, and touch of chilis. Overall: great, very smooth, prefer this to Prairie version.
