Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours unclear pink-gold with a small, foamy topping. Lightly sweet with decent acidity, subtly tart raspberry, very mild seedy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Clean and quenching finish, further tart raspberry, sturdy acidity. Really solid.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 10/06/21. Lightly hazed orange with a pinkish hue topped with a decent off white cap that veers to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is tarte raspberries, damp straw, light funk, berry pips, trace of lemon rind, damp oak. Taste comprises tangy berry fruits, raspberry yoghurt, grains, wood must, light funk, hay bale, soured berry fruit compote, rhubarb stalks. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a tarte berry edge. Solid well balanced sour.

Can: Poured a reddish orange with a carbonated white head. Aroma is pungent raspberry fruit, oaky, woodsy. Taste is tart fruit, raspberry, oak wood gives it some good character, and tingles in the finish.

So I wouldn’t pick raspberries out of a hat here. Berries, but kind of nondescript. A good beer, but slightly disappointed for St Mars.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Blush pink with a soft haze. Fine, baby pink tinged, lasting white head. Nose has raspberry ripple ice cream. Fresh sweet cherry. Bretty, woody notes. Some raspberry pip. Some citrusy hop. Taste is juicy and sweet first off, with a bright fruity twang. Gets a little dry and mineraly. Fresh and fruity tartness on the palate with soft carbonation. Hugely drinkable with a clean and tart, fruity finish. Summer quencher that drinks scarily under the 5.8%.
