Citrus Lager Ale. An old favourite showcasing the this well known hop. Big citrus nose and lovely whack of hops develop beautifully in this highly quaffable beer. Intense citrus flavours blend well with the lager malt without being over powering.

It’s not just the extremely satisfying crisp dry finish that makes this another really special beer

This is a cask lager – so cask at Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield. Pours a pale straw with a small frothy almost white head. There’s biscuits and lemon in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sharp with citrus, lemon and grains plus bready and pine hints. Finish is slightly dry. Not my sort of beer at all – but then cask lagers generally aren’t.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Clear light golden blonde with a white crown that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is citric sherbets, grass, lemon rind, pale malts. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, melon, grass, herb, toasted grains, airy malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow hop spattering. Not bad for a cask logger.

Handpull cask at the Crown Inn, Heanor, as 'Cascade'. Light yellow and clear with a frothy white head. Sweet lemon notes, a little bit of grapefruit, hay and grass. A pleasant bitterness to the Taste that intensifies a bit throughout the sip until the bitter finish. Lemon dop in the aftertaste. Nicely put together.
