Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Boozy nose, dark malty with some sweet stout taste hiding the aforementioned in aroma. Still strong though with mild coconut notes.

3/3/2023. Cask at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours clear almost black with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma is nutty, fudge, milk chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice, smores. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Quite full bodied, sticky, very soft carbonation. Festival high-point.

Handpull cask at the Needle and Pin, Loughborough. Mid- to dark brown and mostly opaque with a full beige/khaki head. I am getting maple, chocolate, caramel and naked booze. Loads of the boozy character in the taste with the maple sweetness cutting through a bit. Big alcohol burn of the finish. This is a naughty beer, and the alcohol isn't hidden in the least. Unhinged and unhindered.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Oily pour. Sits black. No head. No condition. Aroma has artificial maple and something like strawberry. Heavy and boozy. As much as I like this brewers pale beers the stouts and porters are crap, frankly. It’s the same recipe with additions to varying strengths.
