Oatshake IPA

Avena is a word of Italian origin meaning ‘grower of oats’ – just right for our big Oatshake IPA! This is a fantastically balanced beer, beginning with a tropical hop hit delivering aromas of pineapple and mango. The mouthfeel is sumptuous, with notes of papaya and a touch of hop bitterness, before a silky smooth finish.

440ml can from Thornbridge Beer Club - foggy straw body with a little top. Grassy notes, stone fruits in aroma and taste, slightly citrus at the end. Nothing exciting, really, but nice enough.

1/12/2023. Cask at The Fat Cat, Ipswich. Pours cloudy pale yellow orange with a small bubbly just off-white head. Aroma is lovely juicy tropical and citrus fruits. Well balanced and very drinkable. Highlight of the days pub tour.

Can. Beer Club November box. Super hazy pale yellow. Sturdy just of white froth. Nice hoppage here. Bright sweet lemon and orange. Ripe peach notes. Whiff of pine. Surprisingly un-oaty. Crisp and light on the palate. Good bitterness overall. Nice easy drinking pow wow.

Foamy off white head left a spotty cover on hazy pale golden coloured body. Minimal juicy, tropical fruit & pale malt aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with a tingle on the back with a sticky aft. Juicy citrus, nectarine, bubble gum, peach & mango tastes with a tangy slightly bitter finish. Very moorish.
