Keg at Cloudwater taproom, Bermondsey, London. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Rich, sweet, malty, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, tonka action. Very enjoyable.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head that doesn't last. Smooth and somewhat viscous palate, good fine carbonation for the style. Good rich dark chocolate malts, a little dark chocolate cream. Fruity and spicy rum barrel, this is good shit, except I'm sure I can taste the accursed feckin Tonka bean. Smooth and slightly boozy spicy finish. A rich and rewarding brew, would have been even more rewarding if I didn't have to taste Tonkaz either real or imagined!

Pours black with a dirty tan heD. Loads of tonka, chocolate brownie, rum, boozy fruit on the nose. Taste is tonka, chocolate brownie, vanilla, salted Caramel in the background with the rum notes. We'll balanced and lovely!

Appearance: Black, no head. Red hue.
Taste: Sweet and salty.
Palate: Smooth, quite light carbonation, full body.
Overall: Balanced, silky, salted chocolate goodness. Spectacular.

Appearance- oily jet black, not really any head. Aroma- tonka, chocolate, nutty malt, coffee, treacle toffee, roast malt, Nutella. Taste is caramel, chocolate, vanilla, fudge, tonka, coffee, salted caramel, cocoa, caramel brownie. Peppery bitter chocolate finish. Nice and sweet.

Bottle at home, from Cloudwater online, 23/12/24. Black with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is dark chocolate shavings, tonka bean, spice, molasses, brown sugar melt, caramel fudge, mellow barrel strokes. Taste comprises big tonka vibes, getting the salted aspects pretty easily, rummy depths, chocolate melt, caramel, hint of marzipan. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid tonka powered BA impy ... the rum comes through nicely and the salted aspect tempers the sweetness.
