200ml at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Tiny, off-white head over a clear reddish-brown body, spotty lacing. Inviting dried fruity aromas, including moments of prunes. Rich dried fruity taste, as well, added by caramel malts and apricot. Lingering dried fruity end, a bit sweet in the long run. Fine depth. Pleasing. (Tromsø, 05.02.2025).

Mørk amber. Klar. Lavt tett skum. God bæraroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken tørket frukt. God fylde. Innholdsrik. Alkoholen godt kamuflert. I søtligste laget.

Bottle from my bro. It pours crystal clear deep copper with a small white head. The aroma is oily, sally, resinous, orange marmalade, fanta, mango, peach, tropical punch, damp oak, toasty brown sugars, campari and some boozey warmth. The taste is slick, oily, sappy, resinous, warming booze, over ripe orangey fruits, marmalade, peach, nectarine, oak, resinous, sappy, tannin, gummy candy and leather with a warming, boozey finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Nice stuff. Not as big of a body as expected. Pretty boozy though. Fun nonetheless.

Clear amber with a solid white head. Big zesty hop aroma. Flavour has the same. Zesty citrus, bittersweet, a little sugary fruitiness, caramel, boozy warmth. Big, punchy and very tasty.

Almost clear amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Fairly light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth caramel, a little toffee, not that sweet. Good ripe orange peel, floral orange. A touch of candy fruits. Light and fairly dry finish brings a suggestion of lime and tropical fruits. A little alcohol spice on the end. Much like last years version if memory serves, a decent and drinkable fresh barleywine but not delivering the hop complexity that the hop bill would suggest.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 13/12/24. Clear amber with a just off white cap that thins to the edge. Nose is caramel, figs, toasted brown sugars, light floral whisper, candied fruit rinds. Taste comprises caramel, sweet malts, fruit cake mix, prunes, dates, light spice, booze flicker. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow kiss of alcohol. Solid easy drinker, fresh and young, light floral and mellow hop notes. Could age well but may best as a fresh, vibrant and crushable youngun.
