Our Helles style Festbier is everything we love about Oktoberfest without the lederhosen. Brewed in the traditional Bavarian style using a double decoction mash to develop depth of flavour and body. Fermented slow and cold, and lagered for six weeks, ensuring a clean, soft mouthfeel, which is full flavoured and beautifully balanced.

440ml can, 2025 version, appears to be identical to 2024 with no recipe change this time.
Clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma of bready malts, straw. Taste of pale and bready malts, grains, a bit of straw and grass, light sweet with a drying bitterness to finish. Medium bodied. A very nice Helles.

440ml can from The Jolly Vintner, Tiverton. Drank at home on 13th May 2025. Pale golden body, decent white head. 100% British Ingredients apparently, well they didn't come together to produce a very good Festbier in my opinion, this wasn't malty or laden with flavour, just a bog standard Lager. It wasn't a bad beer, just a poor Festbier.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOtM. Pours clear honey-gold, effervescent, with a foamy, mostly white topping. Light to medium sweet flavour with kites of fresh grains, sun-kissed malts, straw, biscuits. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, some husky bitterness, a little grass, dry biscuits, fresh cereal. Hugely drinkable. Excellent.
