Keg at Mother Arch iii, 27/11/24. Lighter shade of black topped with a khaki head. Nose is mellow roast, charr, dried fruit rinds, raisins, cocoa powder. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, charr, roast malts, faint pine, dried fruit rinds, ashen nip. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. Tidy for the style but a good few notches below the usual standard from this series.
