The result of a meeting between Anthony Martin and winemaker Edward Six of wine estate Monteberg is this limited edition of 2,500 bottles fusing the rich flavours of West Flanders. Bourgogne Des Flandres brewer Thomas Vandelanotte has created a hybrid beer by combining a beer based on 4 grains with exceptional grape musts from 4 differenent grape varieties. Solaris and Siegerrebe for their fruity and floral aroma, Kerner and Pinot Gris for their playful acidity. This beer surprises with its sparkling wine character, in which fresh acids and fine aromas form a wonderfully interplay. The velvety, complex base, enriched by the subtle aromas of Nelson Sauvin hops, emphasises that this is a beer of prestigous character. Served chilled as an apertif.

Bottleshare at CBJ, thanks to me for the bottle. A light haze on this yellow gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft but tart white wine, a little white port and a modicum of white wine and citrus fruits. Light and semi dry finish. Good grape ale, has a great brightness and a mild white wine tartness.

opalescent pale yellow colour, minimal white head;aroma of unripe grape, lemony, earthy, wine cellary, yeasty and some minimal vinegar notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with hints of acetone; quite good one; ideal to celebrate my 7.000th rating :)
