Decent, with a healthy amount of roast helping prop up a somewhat milquetoast texture. Chocolate and vanilla notes are subtle, and a coffee acidity creeps in on the finish. Not bad, but a little mild, and could use a more body.

6 day old pint can A: Poured clear dark amber brown with a short, tan head that fell quickly. S: Pronounced roast coffee and toasted grains over light molasses and caramel. T: Roasty and sweet notes hit at once. Slightly burnt coffee with fig or prune joining at the end. Chocolate and vanilla are very low in the mix. M: Rather stiff carbonation adds to a scruffy perception. Lightish body with an oily linger at the roof of the mouth. O: Not as refined as expected but interesting and quite good overall. Also noteworthy: 6 pints make for great value.
