Fairly hazy coloured body with an orange glow and a thinnish off-white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves just about nothing on top. Aroma of citrus fruits, a light dose of apples and pears and a touch of mangoes and bananas with some lighter malts towards the end with a kick of sugars as well. Medium-bodied; Strong citrus and grapey flavours come through at first with a kick of mangoes and papaya with a little graininess and wheat qualities near the end that bring out a bit of complexity that adds to the light bitterness from the hops. Aftertaste is crisp and robust with a little stone fruit flavour and some citrus of course, but more of the malt and robust deep peppery note at the end. Overall, a decent enough New England-ish IPA that has some citrus notes along with more stone fruits and tropical fruits, but the graininess and malt qualities somehow overtake and the effervescence and peppery flavours that come from the start. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Charleston (West Ashley), South Carolina on 28-December-2021 for US$2,49, canned on 17-June-2021 and sampled in my hotel room here in Richmond, Virginia on 20-February-2022.

Gorgeous pint, but never quite hits that hazy sweet spot, offering up moderate notes of grapefruit, papaya, and peach, but with an outsized mineral bitterness and a wort-lined undertone not altogether welcome on the finish. Pretty middle-of-the-road for the style.
