Pine resin aroma. Typical IPA flavor with a mild malt backbone followed by a hop bitterness and usual hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Competent IPA, just not altogether interesting or memorable. Strong notes of pine, resin, and grapefruit, with a firm bitterness on the back end laced with caramel and citrus zest. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing that would bring me back, either.

2 week old bottle A: Poured pale clear gold with 1 of thick white head. End of glass retention and sheet lacing. S: Tart lemon, sweet orange and pine over light caramel. T: Very bitter hops. Pronounced lemon pith, zest and pulp followed by resinous pine and woody malt. Lemony citrus and pine linger. M: Medium full body, soft coating carbonation and chewy finish. O: Highland oddly does not state what hop is used in apparently a rotating hop beer. Extremely good all around though. Want more.
