16 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a cloudy, dark orange color with a white head and great retention. Lots of streaming carbonation. As advertised, it has a light strawberry cake aroma. The flavor is similar to the aroma, except there' are less cake notes and more vanilla notes. Smooth, clean, and easy drinking. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

Can (2/27/25) from Oliver's Beverage, Albany. Cloudy light brown (like pale cider) with slight reddish hue, nice sparkle, thin head with fair retention and light lacing. Aroma is strawberry, sweet malt/biscuit, vanilla. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Certainly get the strawberry shortcake but it both avoids getting too sweet and overtaking base ale. Thankful for second opportunity to taste the brewery.

Heavy hand with the vanilla, a bit lighter on the strawberry, underlined by a slight husky graininess and lingering lactose on the finish. Mild notes of lemon and toasted corn on the fade. Not a lot going on here.
