Close, but not quite there. Nice juicy flavors, offering up mandarin, grapefruit, melon, and stone fruit, yet also carries an undercurrent of dank vegetal notes and wet malt funk, with a yeasty twinge on the finish growing lemon-tinted in the fade. Clingy, moderate bitterness is nice, but overall the pint seems a bit rough around the edges. Smooth, pillowy texture makes for a very easy-drinking 8.3% beer, though.

Quite hazy, deep orange coloured body with a rather large, fairly ugly two centimetre tall tan head that fades fast, but the orange and almost vermillion glow is very nice. Aroma of oranges, juice, resin, flowers, grapefruit, a touch of pine and some noticeable alcohol near the end. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep rich resinous and piney flavours from the hops at first with a lot of bitterness and citrus flavours as well, with a noticeable kick from the wheat and alcohol, where the wheat doesn't provide a smooth and easy-going flavour, rather a deep body texture, which is also nice. Aftertaste shows the grapefruit, resin, alcohol, bitter citrus and some slightly smoother malts that hit the mark nicely, but don't bring too much juiciness, as expected from the name, at least. Overall, a pretty nice beer that has a ton of flavour and bitterness, yet is smooth and robust. Good to try and a nice option for those wanting a stronger IPA with wheat, not too juicy or too 'White'. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 10-July-2020 for US$4,85 sampled at my house in Washington, just four days later on 14-July-2020.
