More French than Françoise' red beret and packed full of more flavour than Monique's garlic chain! This little delight has been brewed with a Saison yeast strain, then aged in Burgundy Red Wine barrels with a touch of Brettanomyces yeast. Creativity and experimentation combine to create this one-o special.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. Aroma of sherry, lemons, brettanomyces. Tastes slightly sour with quite some bitterness. Thin bodied, dry mouth feel, dry, almost astringent finish.

Bottle 330ml. [ As By The Horns Vive la Brett ].Clear medium amber orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, pale malt, moderate yeasty, leather, saison yeast, brett, grapes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, grapes, leather, saison yeast, wine, tart, dry, oak - wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 330 ml bottle, BB date yesterday. ABV is 6.1%. Hazy brownish-orange colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse, solvent, lemons and vinegar. Medium sour flavour, notes of oak, oaked wine, over-ripe lemons and red wine vinegar. Medium bitter finish. Not quite my cup of tea.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark golden colour with small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Oaky aroma, hints a vinous touch, unspecific basic body with a touch of sugar powder. Taste is dry oaky, minimally tart, a touch of Riesling, silica, unspecific sugar powder body. I miss the brett.

BBE 23/08/16 - Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma of vinous tart berries, oak, stingy wood, toffee, sour cherries and hints of messy yeastiness. Taste is smooth, tartish and vinous with some hints of leather, oak, wood, toffee, bretta and berries. Finish is malty, oaky and leathery with hints of toffee and berries. A bit strange and quite vinous. Bretta is quite hidden here.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl and Stuu66 Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - wood and orange. Light wood spice. Taste - sweet orange and malt against a wood background. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a decently balanced finish. Overall - nice beer.

Bottle split at LKS ’Beers of London’ Tasting, high up, thanks to LKS 10/12/14. Hazed orange amber witha moderate light beige swirl and edgeing. Nose is light brett, sweaty notes, woody tones, red berry pang, citric peel. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, red berry notes, wine BA effect, subtle wood tones, light brett. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent BA saison, the brett is pretty subtle.
