500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Clear deep golden colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of citrus peel, mandarin and apricots, also malts with hints of toffee. The flavour has some malty sweetness with hints of toffee and caramel, distinct notes of hops (citrus and apricot again), and a dry, bitter and earthy finish.

Bottle from the Orkney Brewery. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium to large sized throthy white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of Citrus fruits (apricots, lemons), Zesty, Floral and hints of caramel. Taste is very hoppy, more citrus notes and a big grassy bitterness on the finish. Light to medium body and a very slightly oily mouthfeel. Fresh tasting beer but a bit too much bitterness on the finish for me personally.

Keg, half-pint in the Bothy Bar (Albert Hotel), Kirkwall, Orkneys on 3rd Sep 2019. Clear and clean golden pour, smooth white crown. Crisp and hoppy, light floral nose once it had warmed up a little. Seemed half-lager, half-blonde ale to me. Liked it.

Bottle from my parents. Malty aroma with a dose of grassy hops. Copper gold. Thick foamy head. Bitter. Actually quite harshly so. Vague hints of underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick if thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. It's like they got carried away and ended up with completely unbalanced hoppy gold.

Bottle. Not quite bright gold with a white head. Aroma of oranges, slightly biscuity English pale malt, some apricot. Lightish bodies but not watery. Tastes as it smells with some pepper at the end. Bitterness is on the high side of moderate. Refreshing but not terribly memorable.
