330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Gusher. Another highly carbonated brew from these guys. Think bottle conditioning is going on a but more than planned. Managed to pour about half of it into a scooter, clear pale gold with three inches of slowly growing white head. When it settled down in to a drinkable state it was remarkably similar to their Gorgon’s alive. Light woody, yeast esters, light lemon.

Half, gravicask from the stage bar at St Albans Beer Festival 2014. Unclear apricot coloured body. Naked surface. Very farmyard and grass to the nose.Taste of strong farmyard with some fruity notes notes beneath. Very dry ending. Just about drinkable. Well, we didn’t empty the glass (shared with Finn, 25.09.2014).

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the London Beer Lab. Pours clear, bright gold with a lively, pure white froth head. The nose has some grassy hops, dry citrus, orange, biscuits. Light sweet flavor with prominent minerals, some bready malts, some tangerine meringue, husky grains. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Some further minerality on the finish, semi-dried out citrus fruits, a bit of smokey off-notes, more bitter grains, light astringency. So so.

Batch #1, bottle #2. It pours clear golden with minimal head. The nose is doughy, grain, muffin, light toast and weak lemon. The taste is crisp, bready, hay, toasty grains, grass, drying mouth-feel, earth and dull astringency with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. A bit dull if truth be told. Not a whole lot going on.....meh.
