Cask gravity at the Pig's ear beer festival 05/12/2017. A hazed deep purple, black coloured pour with a loose purple head. Aroma is tart woody blackberry, earthy soil,. Flavour is composed of semi sweeet, chewy, tart, blackberrry, earthy woodland fruit, blackberry, cherry, black malts, some spicy wood. Palate is semi sweet, woody tannin, moderate carbonation.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2017, day 1 - Hackney, London. Pours blue-brown (?), unclear, with a bubbly, off-white head. The nose holds dry roast, raisins, a hint of cocoa. Light sweet flavour, rangy and earthy, with more mild chocolate notes, gooey berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Finishes moderately sweet, with ample jammy berries. Alright.

Cask at Pig's Ear 2017. It pours cloudy murky purple - black with minimal head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, sugary, blueberry muffin, fruit cake, Eccles cake, earth and toast. The taste is bitter, earthy, toasty, tangy blueberry, candy, fruit cake, oily, tannin, peppery spice and some chewy malt. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent fruity character. Not bad.

Cask at Pig's Ear '17,day one, 05/12/17. Black with a purple head. Nose is light roast, blackberries, light spice, charr, red berry aromas. Taste comprises tangy berries, mellow roast, cocoa rub, toffee, charr. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a berry edge. Adequate porter.

Cask (gravity) @ 31th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2014, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As One Mile End Black & Blue Hospital Porter ].Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, fruity, dark fruit, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141205]

Pigs Ear. Cask. Hazy amber beer, no head. Light semi dry palate. Mellow dark malts. Little chocolate sweetness. Mild esters. Dry floralness. Light dry finish. Meh!
