Gravicask. Half-Pint, shared with Finn. Fragile lacing from a tiny white head, clear dark amber body. Malt-fruity aromas, moments of caramel and ripe fruits, promising. Flavoured with caramel fruits, with impacts of herbal hops and a distant spicy note. Malt-fruity depth to the ending. Pretty decent.

Second session at the 44th Liverpool Beer Festival, Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt

Bottle conditioned 500ml: BBD Feb 15. Poured at home into a UK pint sleeve on 10th Jan 15 during a ’random beer tasting’ with myself. Amber body with a slight mistiness, no sediment left the bottle that I saw. The head started full and deep, but it soon fell away to a wisp and collar. Toffee Apple nose with an off vinegar undertone. The sourness from the vinegar aroma carried on into the taste unfortunately, this beer was ’on the turn’ if not already ’turned’. Malty semi-sweet base below the off-ness but I have a feeling I will be sat on the loo for a while tomorrow because of this: I refuse to drain pour it though!
