Bottle from 3@3, Ely. Cloudy orange-Amber. Fair bit of quickly dissipating carbonation. Caramel, yeast, and a bit of candy sugar. Taste is bittersweet/sour, herby, and slightly doughy. Sourish aftertaste with a hint of chilli. Not quite right.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Hazy amber beer, no head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Very tangy dried fruits. Light smoke. Whisper of something fruity - vegetal. Light finish. Not a big fan of this one and the brewer was honest to admit that he wasn’t either. Cheers Steve, thanks for being straight!

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2014. It pours murky deep amber with a bubbly beige head. The nose is rich, spicy, fruit cake, earth, musty, leather, wood and orange peel. The taste is bitter-sweet, spicy, stewed orange, tangerine, marmalade, tangy fruits, candy and light Irn Bru thing going on. Medium body and fine carbonation. Chilli not as strong as anticipated. Interesting and I liked it.
