Pigs Ear. Cask. Light haze on this deep amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Palate is light, dry and a little crisp. Cinnamon and what tastes like cloves. Cherries and orange and a little raisin. Light dry finish. Bitterish linger. Yep, very much a Christmas beer! Tasty.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2014. It pours clear deep amber with a bubbly white head. The nose is full of festive spice, rich, creamy, egg-nog/custard and figgy pudding. The taste is woody, leather, earthy, spice, varnish, Xmas pudding, gingerbread, oily feel and nice level of bitterness wit ha dry, spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well-integrated spice. Rather tasty and drinkable.
