33 cl bottle picked up at local Meny supermarket for 15 DKK poured in to a snifter glass. Sweet aroma with coffee, dark malts, and a herbal hoppy note. The taste is bitter roasted. Full body, oily texture. Drying roasted bitter finish with lingering boozy notes. Rough around the edges.

September 2019: 500 ml bottle, as Syndikatet Festaben Imperial Rum Stout, from Erling Christensen Møbler, Sindal. ABV is 10.0%, IBU 70. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, mild coffee, chocolate, dark sugars, rum-raisin, mild spices. Rich and medium sweet flavour with the same ingredients as the aroma, also hints of liquorice, decent hop bitterness. Would definitely buy again.

Bottle 50 cl. A surprisingly pale Imperial Stout that you can actually see through, sort of like an orangey brown with a creamy, beige head - good looking though. Nose is very soft roast and booze, some dark fruits, brown sugars. Body not overly rich, very sweet and malty - but again not really roasted. This is candy in a bottle and kinda neat if you have that sweet tooth. But I wouldn't really call it an Imperial Stout - more like an Imperial Amber and as such quite enjoyable. A sugar bomb. 011217
