HANUMAN BLACK and its recipe go back to the Middle Ages of German beer culture when beers were basically dark. These beers were characterized by higher alcohol content and a malty note.

The HANUMAN BLACK shines with its deep color, which is achieved purely through malt and not through artificial dyes. This allows you to enjoy the extraordinary balanced roasting flavor very intensively and on top, the fine-pored foam reflects the highly professional processing in the HANUMAN BREWERY.

The initial sip has an extremely strong but pleasant mouth feel and in the finish the connoisseur will experiences a sensational hop note.

Can. Black, a beige head fades. Roasty aroma with some liquorice and spices. Light bodied. Tastes as it smells - a little sweetness, modest bitterness. Sound.

330ml can from a Phnom Penh supermarket. Poured almost black in colour with a short-lived, frothy off-white head. The aroma is dark malts and light caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, roasty, burnt treacle, mineral, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Unexpectedly this was rather nice!

Bottle consumed at the April DC Ratebeer tasting. This beer poured a brown, cola color with a small, light tan head. Aroma was light chocolate roast, chocolate malts, light herbal notes. Flavor was roasted malts, light chocolate. An interesting beer, and a good start to the tasting. Thanks for bringing this, Ajax!
