Westerwald-Bräu is a further beer speciality of the Westerwald-Brewery. A type of beer from the earlier period of promoterism, as it was drunken in this region before the turn of century. Smooth and powerful.

33 cl. bottle @ the villa in Üxheim, bought @ Rewe Hillesheim.
Clear light amber with a white head. Malty aroma with some faint hops. Sweet taste with a low bitter finish. Nice malty beer.

Keg at Zum Schiffchen, Koblenz. Clear golden, mid sized head. Fruity, bready, floral nose. Mid sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Creamy and fruity, mildly floral. Mid bitter finish. Pleasant.

Einfach rund.

Dark golden colour with thin head. Very bland. Has some toasted malt and a touch of caramel. Very watery and gassy.

33cl bottle from the REWE XL in Cochem: BB 2nd May 2023. Drank at home on 30th September 2022. Poured into an old Veltins stemmed tulip shaped glass. Clean and clear golden body, snow white head that tried to stay around. Aroma holds piney hops and grainy malts, taste also piney and grainy, good bitter profile from the hops. Liked it.

Westerwald-Bräu, Fläschchen von REWE, Herborn-Seelbach. - Helles Goldbraun, klar. (13.8.2021.)

Not a classic helles in any sense. Super hopped up and bitter, but a little too astringent to be great. Otherwise a cool beer. Bottle from martin hometown

Bottle from beerhunter111! Golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty, with nice herbal-grassy hops and a lingering bitter-sweet finish. Nice!
