There couldn’t be a better combo to start with than New Zealand Nelson Sauvin and American Strata – possibly each hemisphere’s version of the other. Both have amazing white wine notes coupled with tropical mango and pineapple. Hints of strawberry also poke out behind the punchier fruit and marijuana-like tanginess.

Opaque, thin head. Medium body, sweet pear notes, no onion, good nelson on this with a bit of cannabis.

Draught at Ale Arsenal. Pours hazy light yellow with moderately large white head that fades to a dusting over the top and has massive patterns coating the glass. Both aroma and flavor show intense sauv blanc notes and grape rind. A bit of pungency on the back half of the palate. Moderate dry finish leads to a bit of a puckering finish, that works well with the grape aspects. Reall nice.

Can. Pours hazy yellow, merlin creamy white head, good lacing. Aroma is nicely dank, armpit, pot, nether regions, pine. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Light body. Crushable 5,9,8,4 17

Poured from a 16 oz can dated January 31, 2022. Aroma is hop forward and very fruity with lots of passion fruit and gooseberry notes. Lighter notes of mango, tropical citrus and dank resin. Medium light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a hazy, dull, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt and bread notes. Moderate bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Medium light hop notes with passion fruit, gooseberry and tropical citrus dominating. Lighter dank, resin character. Some mineral water notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. A bit of a creaminess to it. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent pale ale. The aroma and mouthfeel are great, but the flavor comes up a bit flat. Original review text: From notes taken while having it on tap at the brewery. Aroma has moderate citra hop notes with light cracker and biscuit malt character. Pours slightly cloudy, pale yellow gold with a small white head that lingers on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is nice and hoppy with a light cracker malt and biscuit backbone. Nice hop flavor of tropical fruit with mango and guava. Medium bitterness that isn’t harsh at all. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, another nice pale ale from Cellarmaker with great hop character. Nice light malt backbone really allows the hops to shine through.

From notes. The beer is a pale golden yellow. It’s quite cloudy. Medium sized head of small white bubbles. Good amount of lacing. The aroma has a whole bunch of pineapple, tangerine and mango. A little bit of grass, lime and pepper gives the hops a pleasantly sharp edge. A little mango and floral sweetness. Good stuff. Taste is dry and bright. Fresh hop flavor. Light but refreshing bitterness. Maybe some wheat or something in the grain. Very easy to drink. Finish is tangerine peel, pepper and lime. Very light feel. A touch of hop oiliness. Excellent pale ale. Very drinkable.
