Extra Time British Pilsner

Crystal clear gold, small white top. Grain, dust, citric aroma. Taste of grains, slightly bready but quite clean, fairly crisp bitterness if a bit thin in body. A solid if unspectacular pilsner.

Clearance deal bomber from M&S Stoneywood. It pours clear golden - yellow with an average white head. The aroma is doughy, bready, biscuit, grain, cereal, zingy citrus, lemonade, orange blossom and a touch of fanta The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, fragrant, floral, zingy citrus vibes, grassy, lightly herbal, with some biscuit and sponge cake in the malt base with a drying finish. All comes together rather well. Robust and moreish. Chugs well, so the format size makes a lot of sense.

Bottle from Watford M&S. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a fine loose white head. Aroma is earthy grains, rustic, soapy, grass, nettle, mineral, light smoke, rustic. Flavour is composed of crisp, earthy cereals, grass, nettle, some mineral. Palate is crisp, light grainy, highish carbonation. Drinks pretty good.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up From M&S Hackney Central. Pours clear pale yellow with a fluffy, pure white head. Light sweet flavour with nice biscuity pale malts, some citrusy hop notes, mild bitter straw, lemon, grapefruit. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, more bright and citrusy hops, a little dirty straw. Nice beer.
