Can from Beer52. Dark brown, nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, slightly ashy, dark chocolate, vanilla. Taste is quite roasted, chocolate powder, , vanilla comes through well and not too strong, dry ashy finish, moderately bitter. Not an overly complex stout but well balanced.

Thin beige head left a collar on a dark brown still body. Vanilla, malt & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with a lively clean aft. Roasted, nutty, malt, liquorice & grainy tastes with a lightly hopped tangy citrus finish. Nice & easy going - Solid brew.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Poured a very dark mahogany with a small transient cream head. The aroma is basically roasted malts – can’t detect much else. In the mouth, malts are briefly the main flavour to start, but are quickly overwhelmed by strong vanilla, and eventually a modicum of chocolate. Creamy, sweet and quite smooth with low carbonation. Sweetness lingers in the finish, where there’s a minor comeback of the malts too. Quite nice.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cola brown pour with a tight beige head; oaty aroma; chocolate malt taste; and some vanilla to finish. Plain but very drinkable .
