Cask at Eastbourne Beer Festival. Apple aroma quite strong. Nothing remarkable, expected better.

(Cask at Craft Beer Covent Garden, London, 19 Apr 2016) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of peaches, grass and toast. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, grass, toast and a slightly herbal bitterness with a touch of earthy hops. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced bitter. Quite nice.

50cl bottle picked up in Hastings. Amber with a thin white head; rich, earthy, malty aroma; malty flavour with some light citrusy hops; then a dry, straw-like, hoppy finish. A rather average bitter.

Cask gravity at Chambers Easter Festival, Folkestone. Deep gold, bubbly off white head. Some citrus and pale malt in mouth which is both juicy and stale at the same time. Finish disappears quickly. Bit of cardboard too. 2.5/5.0 Re-rate, cask handpull at The Star Inn, St Mary in the Marsh. Wow this really blew me away. Perfect after a long bike ride on a blisteringly hot day, perfect condition, perfect hops, perfect body.
