With it’s coppery color, medium full body and moderate carbonation this beer is an easy treat on any type of day. The caramel flavor from the dark bohemian malts - that's why we call it a Bohemian Pale Ale - combines perfectly with the sweet orange bitterness of Amarillo, Galena and Saaz hops.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is caramel malt with gentle hoppy notes, mild fruity with some orange. Flavour is moderate sweet and medium bitter. Light body. Fair for what it aims to be, though the irony of the brewery name and the low hop character of the beer doesn't escape me.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 Aug 2018) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of toast, caramel and dried figs. Malty, slightly roasted taste with toast, dark bread, caramel and a dry finish with a mild bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and highly drinkable. Quite nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bierhut, Uithoorn. Clear dark copper color with a a loose light beige head. Caramel, hops and some citrus in the aroma. Sweet taste with a slight metallic aftertaste. Good body for its ABV. Interesting take on a session IPA focusing more on the malts than the hops.

Bottle at home. Batch B201708. Best before september 2018. Bought last week from Drinks & Gifts. Apparently a year old. Murky dark amber with offwhite head. Sweet malts, light sour grain, caramel, chestnuts, quite leathery bitter, some hay, dry grassiness, light citrus peel. Light sweet and quite bitter, light sour. Not convinced the sour is intended, so probably a little infection. Medium body or slightly under. The bottle has a screenprinted logo and a carton hanging from the neck sporting Heaps of Hops, but the aroma is disappointingly not very hoppy. Drinks more like a brown ale or Dunkel/Tmavy than anyhing else. I understand this beer is 1 year old and probably performs better fresh. However this was not clear to me when I picked out this beer online at Drinks & Gifts. It's still sold within its stated best before time period but it tastes quite poor. Please keep realistic best before dates on your bottles.

Van de tap in de Wildeman. Met M, Yukie, Huub en Rabo. Bruinrood van kleur, beetje waterige smaak, maar toch lekker.

Hazy medium amber, tall soapy off-white head, half-way lasting, messy patchy lacing. Aroma toasted malts, caramel, red fruits, bubble gum, vinous touch. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, fruity. Dry sweetbitter finish, chalky, metallic notes. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation, pleasant and well-made.
