Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with cocoa, cappuccino and a yeasty note. Sweet, but a bit thin roasted flavour with coffee in particular

330 ml bottle, as Løkken Narrevorn, from Erling Christensen Møbler, Sindal. ABV is 6.9%. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, mild coffee and Irish whiskey, hints of oak and vanilla. Flavour mid between dry and sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, also moderate bittering hops, nicely balanced.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost opaque brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. Not the loos you would expect from a Stout! The nose has a little sweetness which could derive from the added whisky (Bourbon?), but it's really more of a Bock aroma. Rich, malty body, fairly subdued roast character and some caramel sweetness. A little late bitterness. Not your typical Stout - a bit of a hybrid with Bock, but pleasant enough. 101219

Bottle. Dark brown to black in color, with a quite firm finger thick dark beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has coffee, licorice, some booze and roasted malts, dark sugar and a touch of prunes. It's full to medium bodied, smooth and soft on the palate, with just a touch of alcohol warmth. It's quite sweet, with flavors of roasted malts, some charcoal, burnt malts, lightly salty licorice, a touch of booze and some prunes. Not so much coffee in the flavor I think. Lasting finish dominated by the dark malts, with some whiskey on the side. Overall, a quite pleasant beer, tasteful and actually more-ish, which isn't the norm when it comes to Løkken beers. 190708

Bottle. Unclear dark amber body with medium sized, dense beige head. Nice aroma that feels like sweet, dark malt with dry fruit and caramel. Flavor has dark, quite sweet malt, chocolate, dry fruit, toast, nuts and low bitterness. Fine balanced body with a long lasting sweet malty aftertaste. Not exactly a stout in my book, but there is some fine barley wine/old ale elements here. Actually surprisingly nice when not suspecting a stout.
