We blended imperial stout aged 14 months in a Barton's 1792 bourbon barrel and imperial stout aged 10 months in a barrel that previously held bourbon before being used to age honey. We took that blend of barrel-aged stout and conditioned it on raw and toasted coconut, pecans and Madagascar vanilla beans. The result is very small amount of extremely delicious liquid. Make sure you're quick on the keyboard or else you will be empty-handed and yelling at your computer, "But it was in my cart!"

Black, dark brown head. Holy coconut, I mean a bit of chocolate but mostly coconut. Sweetish, good chocolate, lots of coconut and there’s coconut bits floating around in there. Excellent.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some vanilla and coconut notes and some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate malt notes with some coconut and vanilla notes with some sweet notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with no clear discernible alcohol notes. Nice pastry stout with some balance to maintain some level of drinkability.

750ml (thx, Chris S.!) @ Matt's new place. Appearance: THE ONLY coconut-corked beer I've ever had, other than that - almost black with a beige head. Aroma: very nice and extremely intense coconut, chocolate, some American oak, and vanilla. This is just a liquid Bounty bar. Taste: along the same lines, it is THE MOST EXTREME (in a good sense, DEFINITELY) coconut beer I've ever had. You try it and then you can feel coconut and chocolate coming for minutes after just one sip. Overall: VERY WELL DONE.

750mL bottle, pours black with chunks (of coconut?) and pretty much no head. Aroma is full of an insane amount of coconut, some toasted pecan, some bourbon, and dark sugars. Flavour has an absurd amount of coconut -- JFC, this is insane -- accentuated by vanilla and toasted pecan. I'm actually at a loss for words to describe how coconuty this is. Absolutely insane, yet tasteful. The barrels subtly accentuate the adjuncts. Damn. What the hell. Delicious.
