Lovely hopped-up sour, layers upon layers of sour ale goodness, grassy and sweet with toasty undertones, all atop vast stretches of lacto brightness backed up by alternating swaths of funk and oak. Bright haystack notes round out the tart peach-citrus front, while bready yeast leads to a mustard-like middle, not quite savory but close. The finish brings a subtle sweetness, woodsy oak notes leading to papaya and vanilla on the fade, while a lemondrop undercurrent reminds you Citras are in the recipe. Funk and lacto on the nose, while the pour’s a nice hazed yellow-gold with moderate lacing. Perfect texture for the style. Delicious.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/26/2016. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, guava, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, pear, green apple, citrus peel, white wine, pepper, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, guava, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, pear, green apple, citrus peel, white wine, pepper, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, guava, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, pear, green apple, citrus peel, white wine, pepper, oak, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light leather/musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/spiciness balance; and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.8%. Overall this is a fantastic dry hopped sour/wild ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, wine barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the balanced acidic/tannic finish. A perfectly balanced showcase of Brett, Lacto, and Citra hops; with great wine barrel presence. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bright yellow with a frothy off white head and good lacing. Aroma’s pungent, tart, citrus, bit of funk. Flavor’s like nose, hint of salt, mint in the finish. Not much sign of hops. Nice finish.

Taproom draft into a shot-glass showing lightly filtered hazy dark orange with white foam lacing. The nose shows juicy pineapple and citrus balanced by light mango in the middle and a very light malty bed. The palate is moderately carbonated and light bodied. Lightly tart with citric hop forwardness and flavors of dry pineapple and a very light hoppy bitterness on the finish. Drinks like a cross of a sour ale and pale ale. Nice

375ml bottle. Pours a little cloudy and brilliant gold. Lemon, pepper, flowers, melon, white wine vinegar, peach. Big, bold, spicy. Extremely tart. Well carbonated with a good full body. Fantastic.

Bottle. A- Tart, subtle garlic, citrus, funky, barnyard. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Sour, funky, citrus, acidic. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, funky finish. O- Wasn’t sure what to expect here. Didn’t get much for hoppy bitterness, but plenty of funky and citrus. Not bad.
