Can. Jet black with a tan head. Big licorice aroma, a touch of smoke, cacao powder, cacao beans, but the crafty, bean-to-bar kind, berry notes of the cacao. Taste is cacao again, light salty notes, earthy touches, light roast, licorice. Finish is saline again, a touch astringent even but at least roasty-acidic, body is pretty decent, quite thick even on the Moerscale (it doesnt exist, I just made it up). Honestly it’s better than I expected

A touch of smoke, some light anise. Dark chocolate. Black oily pour with mocha head and lacing. Bitter end. A hint of lemon, some caramel. Very bitter finish with some light sweetness. Very nice stuff. Can.

Dark brown with a thick head. Aroma is complex - nutty, chocolate, brown sugar. On the palate the deep burnt fruit character I like in an impy but nutty, big roast, alcohol, again with the chocolate. Brash, lots going on. Assertive.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, wood and licorice. Pours almost black color with thick creamy brown head and poor lacing. Taste starts with rich and medium sweet roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate, following is nutty and ashy with mild vanilla note, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Donasty of the darks…

440 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, dusty dark chocolate, dry vanilla and black coffee. Flavors of bitter dark chocolate, unsweetened coffee and roasted malts. Very dry. Solid imperial stout.

Poured from 440mL can (batch 2847; bb 01/2026). Black with tan head. Lots of roast malt, feint ash and chocolate with a hint of hopping. Decent straight up Imperial Stout. I'm at a 3.85, rounding up to 3.9.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with brown, very fine foam. Aroma is coffee beans and chocolate, earthy. Body is average, with practically no carbonation. Taste is roasty bitter, with a little bit of vanilla sweetness. Final is fairly long, with bitter chocolate.

Can. Color: Pitch black, dense brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, earthy. Taste: Very dense, silky and oily mouthfeel. Dark roasted malt, espresso, vanilla notes, earthy. Over moderate sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness, slightly coffee bean sourness. Full body, below average carbonation. Long lasting roasted and earthy, espresso finish. Very nice.
