Now described as an Indian Pale Ale on the bottle. Large tight white head left a rocky top on an unclear pale dull golden coloured body. Wet cardboard, malt & grainy aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a lively back. Pine, grapefruit, resin, malt & biscuit tastes with a bitter finish. Boring.

Bottle from Tebay Services. Lightly hazed gold with a white head and a light fizz. Lovely smooth mouthfeel. Mild, sweetish lemon flavour with just a hint of fresh-cut grass. Simple, but very enjoyable; it washed down a curry a treat. Better than I expected from a beer with a silly name.

Bottle. Booth’s, Kendal. Well, this isn’t amber in colour as per the other rates. This is straw gold, with a faint haze. (Recipe change?). A few bubbles of white head. Nose has bready grain. Some old hop. Some toffee. Taste has a bready sweetness. Light, earthy bitterness. Light to medium body. Low carbonation. Earthy bitterness to finish. Feels well past it’s best, although according to the bb date, it isn’t.

Bottled. This is a midlife crisis, it claims to be an IPA. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and butter, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - hazy golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - tangy bitter apples. Some orange. Taste - more fruit salad. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - solid but not amazing.
