Is there a better combo than hazelnut and coffee? Hazelnut Cracker proves there isn’t! This Pastry Stout is packed with hazelnuts, roasted extra dark to boost the toasty malt base. We chose two coffees from Keen Coffee: "Naranjo" from Peru, with warm notes of dark chocolate and caramel, and "Danilo Salazar" from Costa Rica, which adds a complex layer of sweet brown sugar and fruity lychee. Mexican vanilla and Peruvian cacao nibs tie it all together. The malt gives it a rich, nutty, cookie-like base. In short, it’s a flavor explosion. Let’s go nuts!

Can at home. Jet black pour with a quickly diminishing head. Loads of cacao and dark coffee on the nose as promised, biscuits and some nuts too. Flavour is coffee and cacao, roasted malts, quite dark alltogether, the finish is surprisingly short and the body is medium at best, very unlike De Wrench Brewery

very dark brown, smooth, very smooth light brown head, looks like a dark brown dessert beer.
Aroma is great for a pastry stout. Not much pastry, lol. Coffee dominates, then roasted malts, then finer nuances and complexity from the hazelnuts. The coffee/roasted malts part is REALLY good.
Flavor is roasted malts, roasted awesome roasted malty bitterness that intensifies into the end, coffee, low sweetness but there is a little, the malt profile reminds me of beer geek brunch weasel one of my alltime favorites.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Hazelnut, roast, vanilla, coffee and chocolate in copious amounts. A matching sweetness. Crackin' pastry effort.

Cannd 440ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, nutty and light chocolate nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and noticable hazelnut with some vanilla notes. Alcohol noticable but not overwhelming.

One of their more typically very sweet pastries. Same base, same format, repeat. Guild box
