Bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds. Poured a rich pissy golden colour with a thin white head. Very fragrant hop aroma and flavour with a definite boozy streak running thru the whole gig. Good peachy citrus bite there too. Got better with each sip and left me wanting another straight away, which is always a good sign. Great bitter finish. Classy little number and the best brew dog i’ve tasted thus far.

Hazy straw and sort of flat-looking. Earthy, citrusy, woody hop nose with light pale malt backing. Moderate bitterness. Very dry, herbal hop character. Some toasty notes and an alcoholic finish.

Bottle that I picked up at Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon and consumed at Cropredy Festival 2008 Pours light gold with a nice white head. There is a slight thick honey sweetness and its hoppy with also some lovely silky, citrusy, and tangy sweetness. This really was quite hoppy but I’d had the Ruination beforehand so I think the effect had been diminished ever so slightly, still this is a great beer.

Bottle courtesy of growler. Pours dark golden color with minimal white head. Mild hop aroma for a DIPA. Flavor is bitter pine hops, lemon and slight malt sweetness. Medium body with lively carbonation and a rough finish. I was hoping for more.

330ml bottle (bb.01.01.09) from Utobeer, London. Clear, light golden body under a frothy, white head. Fragile lacings on the glass. Sweet fruity aroma with malty hints. Rather racy flavour of fruity and earthy hops supported by dried fruits and a slight yeasty touch. Tingling alcohol on the swallow together with a long-lived smooth bitterness. Good brew, but a found it quite heavy to drink (TromsΓΈ, 01.08.2008).

Domed multiple cases from the local Tesco in this era.
The go to vfm DIPA in the UK of its time ... grapefruit, mixed tropicana, pine resin, bitter ... crushable.

660 ml bottle brought over by my Aberdeen friend, Bjorn! Batch 001 BB 03/03/09; Nose of light flowery hops, and sweet lightly buttered carrots; carrot juice orange with a small yellow head; flavor of hop bitterness, some sweetness in the fairly thick body, and a diacetyl note; not horribly strong but noticeable. Kind of like the Punk IPA.
