19/1/2019. Bottle from Flower Farm Shop, Godstone shared at the 2nd Kesgrave 50/50. Pours clear mid brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of ash, berries, malt, liquorice, fish, salt and chocolate. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, above average carbonation. Bit too fizzy. finish was fishy. Different.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear dark brown with a fizzy, bubbly off white head. The aroma is light caramel malt, charcoal, light liquorice hop. The flavour is dry liquorice bitter with a dry roasty, watery, nutty, hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from somewhere in Kent. Poured red-brown with a lasting, frothy khaki head. The nose the nose has some ripe berries, toasted brown bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with leathery berries, earthy bitterness, dry brown bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finaihes with dry, toasty brown bread, leathery berries, dry toffee. Pretty basic but not bad.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, sticky, dried fruits, fruit cake, cola and treacle. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, dried fruits, caramel, cola, fruit cake, brown sugar, rivita and brown bread. Medium body and average carbonation. Not so bad.

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 29/12/2016. Ruby red brown coloured pour with a a light tan head. Aroma is smoked hop, citrus, tropical fruit sweet, cranberry. Honey. Flavour is composed of brown sugars, brown bread, jammy fruits, dry grains, . Palate is dry, highish carbonation, . Good.

[ As Romney Marsh Cinque Porter ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, dark malt, berry - fruity, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, berry - fruity, dusty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160218]

Bottle from Murrays General stores Goods Shed Canterbury. Very dark brown beer almost cola colour lasting tan head. Bready chocolate and malt aroma. Decent chocolate dark fruit flavours in the mouth. Overall a decent dark beer little bit of dryness on the finish. Decent.
