Can from Carrefour. Crystal clear golde. With big white head. Peach, sweet malts, orange blossom, earthy, CO2, paper. Medium sweet, very light bitter. Light bldied with quite some carbonation. Oak but tastes a bit like chemical peach candy.

Note sèche, pils cara léger en support.

Lichte body. Vrij veel koolzuur. Iets bitterige finish.

Of course the supermarket beer Ypra needs a (nearly) non-alcoholic counterpart these days, so here we are: the 'new' Ypra has been on the market for only two years now and Bockor already concocted a NABLAB version of it, to meet the demands of the current market. Inches thick, bath-foamy, egg-white, very regular, densely pillowy, plastery lacing head on a near clear pale straw blonde robe with vague khaki tinge and thin but steady strings of visible sparkling. Aroma of wet plaster, white soap, unsugared bubblegum, chamomile tea, something minty even, minerals, raw topinambour, dish water, lemon-scented dish soap even or in any case something artificially citrusy, freshly cut grass, rubber. Cleanly sweetish onset, banana ester but much more bubblegummy than actually banana-flavour-like, green pear, lively fizz but fine-bubbled, very slick, soapy mouthfeel; pale cereally malt core with very bubblegummy edges, developing a mild field flower- and grass-like bitterishness in the end while a deep, dim, annoying sourishness lingers, as does this even more annoying soapiness. Granted, this brewery came a long way from their nineteenth-century ways carried on well into the twentieth century, concentrating on pale lager on the one hand and a kind of 'derivative' and sugared lambic on the other hand, with Omer being a great hit - and I am happy for them, but in this case they just got carried away, I think... Creating a really good NABLAB is not so easy and this one feels like the alcohol-free beers Belgian breweries used to make a few decades ago, long before the hype. Completely useless, and not very good, sorry!

Clear yellow blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: wort, grains, metallic impression, a little fruity, meh. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: fruity start, peach flavoured candy, a bit sugary, metallic, some bubble gum, meh. Aftertaste: metallic, fruity touch, grains, some orange peel, a bit too sweet. Not a fan.
