(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Vintage 1999. Hazy amber with some floaties. Aroma of some dark fruits, quite a bit of malt and caramel and some mustiness. Sweetish flavor, corky, with some caramel and fruits and a bit of wood. Medium-bodied.

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Oxidized, tart fruit aroma. Medium body, tart and fusty and generally unpleasant. No bitterness. By no means has this aged gracefully - this is just old and tired. Yuck! 290608

Orange dark color, small white head. Fruity, a bit prunes and apples in the nose, slightly oxidazed. Fruity, caramelly, slighlty oxidazed flavor. Some vanilla and sour apple. Aged pretty well.

Bottled(750ml). -RBESG2008, Grand Tasting. 1999 vintage.
Murky orange coloured, small to medium off white head, acidic nose. Lots of yeast sediment floating in my glass. Rather sourish wooden barells taste with acidic fruity spicy and mild alcoholic notes.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand Tasting. Wet dog with corks attached to the fur. Murky. DB with V (dog’s breakfast with vomit). Horrible.

RBESG08 grand tasting. Whoa. This was more rare than I thought. Poured a murky dark orange body with an off white head. Corky nose. Taste... corky again, light balanced sourness. Pleasant lemony tangy notes. Very, very nice. So glad I got to try this.
