Steiner Helles Bio Weissbier

Cloudy yellow with a fluffy head. Very yeasty, floral, coriander seeds, orange peel, banana, clove, esters, lemon. Zesty bitterness, yeasty fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry zesty yeasty fruity bittersweet finish. A very nice Hefeweizen, very complex and crisp, yet very easy and refreshing!

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a small, white head. Distinct banana aroma. Medium body, sweet banana accents and quite some yeastiness. Hardly any hops to be detected at all. Smooth, easy and pleasant. 200126

Cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Wheat malt, bright banana, distant spicy notes, some hop. Light sweet, low to light bitterness. A good classic Weizen.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm (recommended to me and Loz by the owner) before Christmas and consumed at home Sunday 16.02.25 listening to Getdown Services - Your Medal is in the Post, about to prepare a Keema Pau with Rice etc. Pours hazy yellow with a large foamy white head that started to drop a bit too soon. This is an excellent Hefeweizen, a nailed on excellent example of the style with banana, clove and wheatiness in very good proportions, nice mouthfeel, really more'ish'. This made me quickly check out where they are based and noted that they are very close to Camba just above Chiemsee and I've had a few others of theirs and really liked them. Original review text: Bottle at Wirtshaus zur Hirschauer Bucht 40km into a cycle ride, Saturday 24th July 2021 just had a Fish Soup. Pours murky yellow with a large white head, aroma light notes of banana, some of a fruity tangy edge, soft mouthfeel, fine but not really hitting all the Hefe-Weisse highspots. Had again 8th July 2023 after a short walk from Taching am See to Waging am See, had this at Bacchus. This is a much better beer than I gave credit to. 3.5

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is bready wheat with banana and spicy yeast. Flavour is mild sweet with a touch of wheaty sourness. Body is medium. Easy and refreshing Hefe.

Trübe gelb orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit einer Mischung aus Banane und Steinobst. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

0.5l bottle. Hazy golden/orange body with a huge and lasting white head. Banana and peach in the aroma with some doughy yeast. It doesn't show much spicyness but I don't mind. Banana and peach are present in the aroma too such as some yeast, some lemon zest and a tiny bit of floral hops. Medium bodied with a silky texture. Very nice weizen.
