Very hazy amber beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Thin malts. A light spicy yeasty bitterness. Trace of banana esters and peach. A little orange and orange peel. Light finish. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal, spicy yeasty aroma, notes of mustard, mustard seed, hints of sage, tarragon. Taste is bitter hoppy, spicy yeasty, subtle fruitiness, hints of mirabelle and peach, brine and mustard seed. Way more Farmhouse than IP-A.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Richmond Brewers’ Fair. Pours hazy, deep gold with a dense, frothy off-white head. The aroma holds prominent saison yeast, some pale bread, tangerine peel, wheat, esters. Light to medium sweet flavour with moderate grassy bitterness, lightly toasted wheat flakes, more Belgian yeast, citrus rind, touches of bubblegum. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation and massaging texture. Pretty well balanced on the finish, with nips of alcohol, phenols, wheat bread, pale grains, more tangerine and orange rind, faint oily pine, banana chips, yeast. Quite interesting stuff. This beer is a significant departure from the rest of Kew’s output to date - and that’s a good, exciting thing. I hope the brewery does more occasional ’experimental’ beers like this.
