Het is oke, we waarderen je. Brooo, we houden van je. Vraag je bro’s hoe het echt met hun gaat. Al vraag je het twee keer. Deel desnoods deze Imperial IPA met klappende citrus tonen. Dan hoef je je in ieder geval geen zorgen te maken over scheurbuik. Zet die mannen-mannenmentaliteit opzij, en hug-a-bro. We staan achter je. Hug-A-Bro is een volmondig maar subtiel bier met een volle zoete afdronk. Het heeft een fruitig en citrusachtig aroma met zeer duidelijke tropische tonen uit Nieuw-Zeeland. Het heeft een zoetheid vergeleken met marmelade, fruit en geconserveerde jam.

Levendig bruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter en licht zoet met iets van graan, wat citrus en karamel, rozijnen en hars. Heel goed.

44cl Blik. Bijna bruine kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Rogge, hars, caramel, licht bloemig, citrusschil, licht kruidig, bitter. Medium body, iets dun af en toe en daardoor net wat minder dan de hele fijne Rye of Fire waar deze m.i. op lijkt. Lekker.

(Draught at Gollem Craft Beers, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2024) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with pink grapefruit, orange peel, resin and pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, rye, orange peel, resin and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made DIPA, with a generous hop presence. Very nice.

If It Ain't Dutch...Keg. Hazy amber beer, small pale tan. Smooth palate a little soft, modest fine carbonation. Caramel and toffee malts, a little creamy sweetness. Big ripe fruits. No hop freshness or ripeness whatsoever. Loads of citrus peel. Different. West Coast gone bananas.

On tap at Dutch Taproom, pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is very malty, with resinous hops, caramel malt, and sugars. Flavour is quite malty for a IIPA, with lots of caramel malt, resinous hops, and a piney hops. Resinous and caramely. Good but too malty for the style for me.
