Cask-conditioned at the Rook & Gaskill, York 20/4/2018. Light brown in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Light smokiness, some accompanying fruity sweetness and toasty malts, leading to a gentle finish. A bit subdued, but ok.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a nice lacy head. Nose - smoke and bread. Taste - more smoke and burnt bread. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture. Dry crunchy and smoky finish. Overall - good.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, fairly dry with reasonable fine carbonation. Dry caramel malts, not sweet. Fair bit of mellow white smoke. Tangy dried fruits. Mild bitterness. Light dry finish. Alright.

Cask @ Chelmsford Winter Beer festival. Pours brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, smoke, smoked meat. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, smoked, smoked fish. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet and light bitter finish. 160217
