What is it? Pale, gorgeously aromatic with pine and citrus notes but with minimal bitterness and a crisp finish courtesy of the lager yeast, this crossover beer is Neither one thing Nor the other.

330ml bottle. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a short-lived, frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt and woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, light, nutty, light citrus, light sweet caramel, earthy, metallic, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Gravicask at Camra’s NWAF, shared with Finn. Clear golden body. Filmy layer, dotted spots. Floral hops to the nose, hints of citrus. Mild grapefruit flavours followed by a leafy hop bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Refreshing (Derby 19.02.2016).

Cask @ The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours amber, thin white head. Aroma is odd berries and malt. Taste is berries and musty caramel malt warmth, a touch of sour vinegar. Something odd about this I can’t quite place. Disjointed and possibly infected.

Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Lovely hops. Pink grapefruit. Good mouth feel really dry finish. Lovely beer. Superb. I didn’t do this justice when I was in the pub. It’s terrific. Just a lovely pink grapefruit aroma, balancing malt and then this dry pink grapefruit hoppy finish. I took it over the Burning Sky Plateau which was on, it was that good.
