Cask at The Plasterers Arms, Norwich, Saturday 6th May 2017 Really lemony beer that teeters on the edge of a sour/pale. Amber in colour with a white wispy head, a little dry, good but a bit strange. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Keykeg at the Drayman’s Son, Ely at 4.1%. Pale yellow/orange, just a trifle hazy. A fairly large loose white head which quickly fades. There’s lemon in the nose to be sure, but the aroma is punctuated by sticky resinous hops. Taste is bitter/sour lemon underpinned by a light almost sugary sweetness. Bitterness in the aftertaste with gentle grapefruit notes. Very enjoyable.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Tart lemon with some icing sugar. A little thin and a little odd - it tastes somewhere between a golden ale and a sour and feels a little confused as to what it’s trying to achieve. It’s OK though.
