Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Lab. Pours clear, reddish gold with a thick, lasting tan cream head. Ripening berries in the nose, some redcurrants, fruitcake, wheat bread, yeast. Medium sweet flavour with more rich fruitcake, sugary and lightly tangy berries, plum, wheat bread, ripe apple, mellow alcohol. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming at the ending, with more plum, fruitcake, berries, hearty wheat bread, slight leafy hops, apple sauce, faint yeast, esters, bubblegum. Pretty solid for the style.

Bottle at London Beer Lab. Deep amber - quite pale for a dunkelweizen- with a thick off-white head. Banana is the main flavour here, although it’s not overpowering. Some roasty malt and chocolate comes through afterwards, along with a light metallic tinge. A little sweet and sticky perhaps but pleasant enough.
